How many apps do you use when you travel?
When I first stated doing this RVlife over 9 years ago, my daughter turned to me and said, “Mom, there is an app for that.” My love of apps started. I would use them for campsites, boondocking, attractions and even the odd and weird that I love to see. I always thought that it would be great if there was an app for all of it. I never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would design one.
My friend Andy told me about a website that I could work with that would help do just that. Combine all the apps I love into one site. Integrate it so that all my friends could pin places on the map so we could have a shared community of Chipmunks finding new and exciting places.
After months of work, on Friday October 17th, I launched Chipmunk’s Roam. A comprehensive Canadian and US map of provincial and state parks, campgrounds, boondocking sites, attractions, historical sites, even the odd and quirky places I love so much.
The app comes with a trip planner. You can save destinations, build a trip plan and even download it to your phone to take off-line.
I love the fact that you can create an account and add your own beautiful places that I may not have seen yet. PS. Your places go live right away when you Join the Chipmunk Trail Crew. All free accounts have to be verified by a human.. me. 😊

Looking at an attraction but do not know what it is? Touch the pin and the name comes up. Tap the details and you get details and a link to the attractions website for all the juicy details. It works the same with all the pins. Touch and explore.
The app is free to use. There are some pretty good bonuses to joining the Chipmunk Trail Crew and more are being added. I kept the cost low so everyone could join at $35/yr. I want as many Chipmunks on my trail as possible.
You will notice the link at the bottom gives you a full guide on how to use the app to its full capabilities. I love how to use it guides. I knew I had to have one that everyone, even me could follow.
